Overview

Chache da Dhaba, located on Sunnyholt Road in Blacktown, offers a genuine taste of Indian roadside dining right in the heart of NSW. This eatery specializes in Punjabi-style dhaba cuisine, presenting a flavorful array of street-food classics that remind one of bustling Indian roadside stalls. Its menu is diverse, featuring standouts like Chhole Bhature, Half Tandoori Chicken, and the ever-popular Chhole Masala Chickpeas Curry, catering well to both vegetarian and non-vegetarian palates.

The atmosphere is laid-back and unpretentious, with outdoor seating that echoes the simplicity of traditional dhabas. While there is no table service—orders are collected at the counter—the bustling environment feels authentic and welcoming. This spot particularly shines during late hours, making it an excellent choice for night owls craving comforting and hearty Indian street food. The Pani Puri and Indian-style Chowmein Chicken add a vibrant variety that showcases the fusion of genuine Indian flavors with subtle Indo-Chinese influences.

Portions here are generous, and the spices deliver a familiar, robust taste that many patrons find reminiscent of home-cooked meals. Signature dishes such as Palak Paneer and Aloo Tikki highlight classic Indian flavors with an emphasis on freshness and well-balanced seasoning. For those interested in Indo-Chinese fusion, the wok-tossed Basmati fried rice with options of chicken, egg, or vegetables offers a satisfying twist, blending two popular culinary traditions seamlessly.

While the service operates efficiently given the food truck’s busy nature, some guests have noted that the cleanliness could see improvement to enhance the overall dining experience. However, the lively ambiance, combined with flavorful dishes and reasonable prices, makes Chache da Dhaba a solid culinary destination for anyone seeking authentic Indian street food in Blacktown.

This eatery appeals especially to those who appreciate no-frills, genuine food without the fuss—a place where the quality and taste take center stage. Whether you’re stopping by after hours or looking to enjoy a quick, fulfilling meal during the day, Chache da Dhaba delivers an honest, satisfying taste of India’s vibrant roadside food culture.

A wonderful, no-frills spot to enjoy a great meal. The food is delicious and high-quality, though there’s no table service (Out Door Seating) — you simply pick up your order at the counter when your order is ready. But honestly, that doesn’t matter when the food is this good. The portions are generous, and the prices are very reasonable.

Authentic Indian street food that truly tastes like home like food. The Alu parathas and Gobi parathas are best and curries, chutneys were exceptional. Highly recommend—definite 10/10! Honestly, this food truck deserves this appreciation.

I visited Punjabi Dhaba around 10:30 PM on a weekday, and there were two ladies handling the service. The menu had a lot of options, so I was excited to try something new. I decided to go for the Non-Veg Platter, which included fish. Unfortunately, the lady informed me that fish was unavailable, so I had to opt for an extra Chicken Tikka instead. The food itself was decent—nothing to rave about, but not bad either. However, I found the Non-Veg Platter, priced at 26 AUD, to be a bit pricey for the quantity I received. The Chole Bathura, priced around 10 AUD, was fair for the cost, though nothing exceptional. We had also considered ordering the Chicken Tikka Pizza, but the lady mentioned it would take 30 minutes to prepare, so we decided against it and changed our order. The place definitely has a Punjabi Dhaba vibe, complete with roadside-style seating and a relaxed atmosphere. The music adds to the lively vibe, but I have to say that the overall cleanliness of the place wasn’t up to standard. I felt it was a bit unhygienic, which was a letdown. That said, if you’re an Indian food lover and you're in the area late at night, this is a solid option since they’re open late. It’s perfect for night owls looking for a late snack. The food is okay, the vibe is good, but a little attention to cleanliness would definitely improve the experience.

Quick service and authentic taste in the food. The spices they use make the food taste similar to any other Indian restaurant. But the quantity they serve is very generous which truly elevate the experience and complete food satisfaction. That said, they are doing an impressive job managing such a busy food truck and handling orders for many customers at the same time.

The Chicken Tikka Masala and Momos here is the best I’ve always loved the taste and always served fresh & hot. It’s definitely worth coming during late night, as the regular menu can be a bit pricey in some of their food items. But worth it due to their quality. Prices = $$ Service = fair

A perfect food joint and a place to hangout with friends and familes. Food quality is just awesome and same is their lovely service. The gentlemen inside the food truck is very friendly and suggested the best dishes they have on-board. Very pleased with everything they served. They do have my recommendation.
